I saw a post on sera’s ceramics (http://serasceramics.tumblr.com/) that had me thinking about this work. I have a few of Vered Tandler Dayan’s piece and they have a life to them that seems so effortless.

Yasko Ozeki is a Japanese potter working in Seto, Japan. She makes tableware and vessels in a muted color palette She often utilizes an inlay technique to decorate the pieces, which is done by carving out a design when the clay is leather hard then inserting a contrasting clay in the design. Once it has dried the excess is stripped away to reveal the pattern.
